We recently updated our image zoom on Cascade to be a native solution (we previously used a third party library that added more weight to the theme). We used Dawn's image zoom as inspiration.

We will look into ways this could be improved and also have horizontal as an option.

The current product image slideshow on Cascade is very slow to load images and the vertical slide after clicking is confusing many of my site visitors who mostly try to scroll horizontally and then give up. The original cascade slideshow worked great with its horizontal scroll and fast image loading, please can you change it back to something more like that. Also having part of the next image in the slideshow jutting in from the side on mobile is reducing space for the current image.
